Joker : Why so serious?

Alfred Pennyworth: Some men aren't looking for anything logical. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

Detective Wuertz: Dent! Jesus, I thought you was dead!
Two-Face: Half...

The Joker: [to Batman] You've changed things... forever. There's no going back. See, to them, you're just a freak... like me!

The Joker: Why... so... serious?

The Joker: [to Rachel] A little fight in ya. I like that.
Batman: Then you're going to love me.

The Joker: Let's put a smile on that face!

Grumpy: I'm bettin' The Joker told you to kill me soon as we loaded the cash.
The Joker: No, no. I kill the bus driver.
Grumpy: Bus driver? What bus driver?
[a school bus drives through the wall and kills Grumpy]

The Joker: This town deserves a better class of criminal... and I'm gonna give it to them. Tell your men they work for me now. This is *my* city.

Harvey Dent: You either die a hero or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain.

[
the Joker and his thugs burst into a Gotham ball]
The Joker: Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. We're tonight's entertainment.

[
the Joker holds Rachel over the edge of a building]
Batman: Let her go.
The Joker: Ooh... very poor choice of words.
[laughs as he lets go]

The Joker: I Love This Job!

Batman: Why do you want to kill me?

The Joker: I don't want to kill you. What would I do without you?

The Joker: I use a knife because guns are too quick. Otherwise, you can't savor all the emotions. You know who people are in their last moments.

The Joker: I'm a dog chasing cars. I don't have plans. I just do things. I'm not a schemer.

The Joker: [looks directly at Dinner Guest] You know, you remind of my father.
[takes a knife to dinner guest's neck]
The Joker: ... I hated my father!
